Street lights flicker through the cars windows,
The smell of smoke is sticking to your clothes,
Driving with no where in mind to go,
Fatigue's trying to take the car off the road.

Town recedes in the reflection in your mirror,
Its getting darker but somehow we're seeing clearer,
My only comfort is my body being near her,
My only thoughts are wanting to be nearer.

Driving past city lights, through the cold dark night, staring up at the towering heights,
Looking over at you, not knowing what to do, life here will be over for us soon,
Can't see the end of this street, but we know we're not gonna be beat,
Sitting in the chair, its getting too much to bear, we all just want someone to care.

Sun's coming up and we're running out of time,
Town is empty and those dull streets are all mine,
We're only here cause we need something to pass the time,
And we're not looking for love, its the last thing on our minds.

We roll on eyes blurry from the events of the night,
Getting tired so we park it out of sight,
We both know that this way of living ain't right,
Spent another night causing another fight

Why do I love this record? it has a haunting sound with a destination. The vocals are very sweet and the riffs hook you in . The songs have a great momentem they begin at once place then end some other place and don't go in a circle . if that makes sense? jimmyfuc
